NKT Day

The first Saturday in April is set aside to commemorate the founding of NKT–IKBU by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche in 1991.
The occasion is marked by special events and by pujas and dedications at Kadampa centres worldwide. Prayers are made for the flourishing of Kadam Dharma throughout the world so that all living beings might quickly find permanent inner peace.
Above all, we remember the extraordinary kindness of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso in founding NKT–IKBU. At Manjushri KMC we will be engaging in special prayers with Wishfulfilling Jewel with Tsog in the evening of NKT Day.

Gen-la Kelsang DekyongGen-la Kelsang Dekyong is the General Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU and Resident Teacher and Special Teacher Training Programme Teacher at Manjushri KMC, the mother centre of modern Buddhism
She has been a student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for over 30 years, sincerly training under his guidance in all aspects of modern Buddhism. Gen-la is recognized as a fully qualified Buddhist Teacher of both Sutra and Tantra.
